Maldives Photograpy
The Republic of Maldives is made up of a group of atolls formed in the middle of the Indian Ocean. These atolls create a wonderful marine habitat, safeguarding thick schools of colorful fish and wandering turtles or manta rays.
I took these photos using Velvia film and my beloved Nikonos RS. The deep, rich hues of blue are something that the world of film captures better than any digital medium.
In the Maldives, even the mundane becomes striking, and I will always remember a chance encounter with a giant manta at it’s cleaning station as one my life’s most incredible moments.
